1. Introduction

Networks Online (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates MeetingBurner, a video conferencing platform with AI-powered features. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Information: Name, email address, password, profile photo
  • Payment Information: Credit card details (processed by Stripe)
  • Profile Data: Company name, job title, preferences

2.2 Meeting Content

  • Audio/Video: Your audio and video streams during meetings
  • Transcripts: AI-generated transcriptions of spoken words
  • Recordings: Video/audio recordings when enabled by host
  • Chat Messages: Text messages sent during meetings
  • Shared Content: Screen shares, files, and documents

2.3 Automatically Collected Information

  • Usage Data: Meeting duration, participant count, features used
  • Device Information: Browser type, OS, device model
  • Log Data: IP addresses, timestamps, error logs
  • Cookies: Authentication tokens, preferences

3. How We Use Your Information

3.1 To Provide the Service

3.2.1 No AI Training on Your Meetings by Default

We do not use your meeting content (audio, video, transcripts, recordings, chat messages or shared content) to train AI models. If we ever offer a program that does, it will be a separate, explicit opt-in that is off unless you turn it on, and you can withdraw from it at any time. Declining will not change how the Service works for you.

This statement is about MeetingBurner's own use. The service providers in Section 4 process meeting content on our behalf to deliver features such as transcription and summaries. We are seeking written confirmation from each of them that they do not train on it, and this policy makes no claim about their practices until we have it.

Research recordings. Hosts with early access to agent features can mark a meeting as allowed for research recordings (recordings that would be used to improve how our agents look and listen). Today that setting records nothing and nothing uses it. A host's setting is never consent on anyone else's behalf: before any participant's content is used for research, that participant will be asked for their own consent, which is off unless they turn it on and which they can withdraw at any time. Anyone who does not consent is left out.

3.4 For Safety and Legal Compliance

  • Prevent fraud and abuse

4. AI Processing and Third-Party Services

4.1 AI Transcription (AssemblyAI)

Your audio is processed by AssemblyAI to generate transcriptions. Audio data is sent to AssemblyAI servers for processing. See AssemblyAI's Privacy Policy.

4.2 AI Summaries (OpenAI)

Transcripts are processed by OpenAI to generate summaries and extract action items. See OpenAI's Privacy Policy.

4.3 Video Infrastructure (LiveKit)

Video streams are transmitted through LiveKit's infrastructure. See LiveKit's Privacy Policy.

4.4 Payment Processing (Stripe)

Payment information is handled by Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

5.1 With Meeting Participants

Meeting content (video, audio, transcripts, recordings) is shared with other participants in the meeting.

5.2 With Service Providers

We share data with third-party service providers who help us operate the Service (hosting, analytics, customer support).

5.3 For Legal Reasons

We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or legal process.

5.4 Business Transfers

If we are acquired or merge with another company, your information may be transferred to the new entity.

5.5 With Your Consent

We may share information when you explicitly consent to such sharing.

6. Data Retention

  • Account Data: Retained until account deletion
  • Meeting Recordings: Retained per host's settings (typically 30-90 days)
  • Transcripts: Retained for duration specified by host
  • Summaries: Retained indefinitely or until deletion requested
  • Log Data: Retained for 90 days

7. Your Rights and Choices

7.1 Access and Correction

You can access and update your account information in Settings.

7.2 Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Some data may be retained for legal or operational purposes.

7.3 Marketing Opt-Out

You can opt out of marketing emails by clicking “unsubscribe” in any email.

7.4 Cookie Controls

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling cookies may limit Service functionality.

8. Regional Privacy Rights

8.1 GDPR (European Users)

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have rights under GDPR including:

  • Right to access your personal data
  • Right to correct inaccurate data
  • Right to delete your data (“right to be forgotten”)
  • Right to restrict or object to processing
  • Right to data portability

However, no system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

10. Children's Privacy

MeetingBurner is not intended for users under 13 years old (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn we have collected data from a child, we will delete it promptly.

11. International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your residence. These countries may have different data protection laws. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
